Newsfeed App Design Components
The following communication design components will help us build a custom newsfeed app for your donors that looks and feels like your organization.
 
What colors do you use on your website or letterhead? Specific PMS (PMS 2000) or Hex numbers (#ff0000 for example) are preferred.
It must be in one of the following formats: ai, eps, svg
Select your vector logo using the button above then click the "Start Upload" button.

The Splash image has to meet the following criteria:
  • Size must be at least W: 720 px- H:1278 px
  • Image has to be vertical with no focal point
  • Faces are not recommended
  • This image will be the background of the login screen, so multiple texts and buttons will be covering it.
  • It is recommended to have a photo without contrasting colors
Your newsfeed will have an “About Us” tab. Please provide a brief description or history that we can use to populate this section.
White Label Website
The White Label Website (WLW) is where your donors (from email, social media or from the platform) will land to make a gift. The following information will help us set up this page.
 
The first part of the URL that will be used for your branded website. Often this is your charity’s name shortened. Valid characters are: a-z, 0-9, and -.

This image will be the background banner image. It must meet the following criteria:
  • It has to be horizontal with its focal point on the right (text and buttons will be added on the left)
  • The left section should be easy to blur and become transparent
  • Size has to be at least W:1200 px- H:560 px
  • Focal area has to be: W:700 px- H: 414 px
This image will be the background footer image and it must meet the following criteria:
  • Size must be at least W:1200 px- H:360 px
  • It has to be horizontal with no focal point
Giving Page Components
The Giving Page is where all donors will land to make a gift. The following information will help us set up this page.
 
Store Presence
This banner will be used to build the Giving Page of the charity. It must meet the following criteria:
  • It has to be horizontal with its focal point on the right (some text will be added on the left)
  • The left side of the image should be easy to blur and become transparent
  • People are recommended for this banner
  • Minimum size should be at least W:900 px- 349 px
  • Its focal area should be W: 445 px – H: 349px
Logos must be in one of the following formats: JPG, PNG, PDF or EPS. The size must be at least 245*143 pixels
The Giving Page has the option to list different allocations for your gifts. Please, provide the list of projects managed by the charity
 
 

When we publish your newsfeed to the app stores (IOS and Android) and they become available to donors, we will need to include your organization’s name, a brief description, as well as, a full description of the work that you do.

Typically one sentence. App Short Description example: Enjoy Real Time Updates from [Organization Name].

This description is what will describe the functionality of your newsfeed. Since most of your donors will be familiar with your organization by name and has been directed to download the app from a link, the description can be very simple. We recommend something like the following:

[Insert a brief description of what you do. For example, provide meals to the homeless, help the underserved access medical care]."

Admin users have full control in the ViewSpark application. At least one Admin user is required.
Publishers are allowed to create and publish content.

Your donor file will be uploaded to our secure cloud server and will be used in conjunction with your selected segmentation. Please use the attached “Donor Import File Template” when submitting your data which includes the following fields:

  • First Name
  • Last Name
  • Email Address
  • Account Number (if applicable)
  • Cell Phone
  • Last Donation Date
  • Last Donation Amount
  • Donor Interest Flags

    These flags are used to segment donors. Please supply data in these fields if you are interested in segmenting your donor file based on donor interests rather than specific giving history. For example, you could flag a group of donors such as, volunteers, XYZ Church, board, monthly sponsor, golf event, etc.

    Donor File Requirements

    • Please supply the donor file in the above field order
    • Remove duplicate names and emails from the donor file
    • The following three (3) fields all need to be populated:
      • First Name
      • Last Name
      • Email Address

 

Social Media Login
In order to post content to social media, please provide the following:

Please note: Facebook does not allow non-profit pages without having it directly linked to a personal account; therefore, in order to avoid using your own personal account, an individual from your organization can create a new personal account and those credentials will be used to provide administrative access to the organization’s page.

  • Enter your login credentials. Facebook will confirm that you want to give permission to ViewSpark.
  • On Facebook, you will be returned to a list of Facebook pages for which you must select one.

This email will be used as the From email for ViewSpark email communications. “If the charity does not own a domain, keep this field in blank
